Lillian Naomi Haskins Squires, MO

Lillian Naomi Haskins, 90 years, passed to heaven on March 26, 2012 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO with her loving husband, John by her side.

Naomi was born December 17, 1921 in Nottinghill, MO to Jesse Herbert and Hattie Jane (Trent) Gaulding.

On November 16, 1940 Naomi and John W. Haskins were united in marriage in Thornfield, MO and to this union four children were born.

Naomi was a housewife and homemaker. She was a hard worker and had worked in Indiana and Michigan for the defense department and a later a teachers aide in Missouri for serveral years. She was a Christian and a member of the Thornfield General Baptist Church.

Naomi was devoted to her husband John and all her family and church family. As John quoted, "Behind every successful man, there has to be a devoted woman, Naomi was a remarkable wife and mother and she was always there."

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Earl Gaulding and one sister, Pat Risley.

Naomi is survived by her husband, John W. Haskins, Squires, MO, four children, John Mitchell Haskins, Herbert Michael Haskins and wife Sandy, Larry Etcyl Haskins, and Brenda Kay Haskins, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, one brother, Basil Gaulding, Kansas City, MO, two sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, a special friend, Tammy Caudill, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Naomi will be Friday, March 30, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Thornfield Chapel, Thornfield, MO with burial in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Pastor David Dye. Memorials may be made to Thornfield Cemetery, Gideons International or the donors choice of charity.
