Jonverl Marshall Sales Rogersville, MO

Jonverl Marshall Sales, 80 years, passed to heaven on April 9, 2012 at his home with his loving and devoted family by his side.

Jonverl was born December 12, 1931 in Glenwood, IA to John and Laura (Marshall) Sales.

On June 6, 1954 Jonverl and Nora McKeehan were united in marriage in Moulton, IA and to this union five fantastic children were born.

He was a U.S. Army 101st Airborne Veteran and served in the Korean War. After he was Honorably Discharged he retired as a Meat Cutter for John Morrell Co. in Ottumwa, IA. He enjoyed farming in Iowa for many years and later moving to the Springfield, MO area, where he owned and operated Sales and Sons Trucking Co.

He was a Christian and attended the Fordland Church of God {Holiness}.

Jonverl was preceded in death by his parents.

Jonverl is survived by his wife, Nora Sales, Rogersville, MO, five children and their spouses, Vicky & Kenneth Thompson, Seymour, MO, Juley & Terry Voss, Deepwater, MO, Jon & Tammy Sales, Nixa, MO, Gen & Susan Sales, Rogersville, MO and Tim & Brenda Sales, Rogersville, MO, 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Jonverl will be Friday, April 13, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Ava, MO with full Military Honors by Ava American Legion Post 112 and VFW 5993. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Dennis Goodwin. Memorials may be made to Fordland Church of God {Holiness} Building Fund.
