SUSIE JONAS

Susie Jonas, 69, of Ava, MO, formerly of Gainesville, MO passed away on April 10, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born on April 6, 1943 in Oakland, AR the daughter of Troy and Linda (Gilbert) Sisney.

Susie was a graduate of Gainesville High School. On August 8, 1963, she was united in marriage to Arthur Jonas. Susie was a lifelong resident of Ozark County and had just recently moved to Ava. She worked for many years as a nursing aid for Oxford Healthcare. She loved gardening, tending to her flowers and being outdoors.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents Troy and Linda Sisney; and her husband Arthur Jonas. She is survived by her children Dennis Jonas, Carroll Jonas, Dana Jonas and Brady Jonas; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two brothers Dewayne Sisney and wife Sharon of Springfield, MO and Junior Sisney and wife Shirley of Howard Ridge, MO; and one great uncle Archie Sisney.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 in the Oakland Cemetery near Oakland, AR with Ed Smith officiating. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
