MELVIN JAMES SPINNER

Melvin James Spinner, 67, of Isabella, MO passed away on April 20, 2012 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, MO. He was born on November 22, 1944 in Atchison, KS, the son of Cecil and Anna (Black) Spinner.

Melvin worked for many years as a supervisor in the construction business. He moved to the Ozarks in 1978 and has been a resident of Isabella, MO the past 30 plus years. He was united in marriage to Judy Long on June 15, 1992 and the two have been inseparable for the past 20 years. Melvin enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dogs. He loved cooking and barbequing was his specialty. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who treasured his family dearly. He was a great man who will be missed by all.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Cecil Spinner Jr. He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home in Isabella, MO; his children Scott Spinner, June Spinner, Larry DeCamp and Paula Williams; grandchildren Lindsey Spinner, J.R. Spinner, Amanda McMasters, and Jessica Tucker; great grandchildren Madeline Spinner, Shiloh McMasters, Aisha McMasters, Holly Tucker, Leila Tucker and Leighton Tucker; two sisters Dorothy Faye Ellis and Anna Louise Klingenburg; and one special friend Elizabeth Hill.

Burial will be at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Rushville, MO at a later date. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, MO with Jimmy Kyle officiating. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
