GLENN AGENE HAWKINS

Glenn Agene Hawkins, 86, of Gainesville, MO passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. He was born July 23, 1925 in Brixey, MO to Glenn and Flo (Pitcock) Hawkins.

He was a member of the Smith Chapel Church of Christ. Agene was a well known well driller for many years and life- long farmer on the family farm in Brixey.

Agene is survived by his niece, Marsha Evans and her husband Keith of Springfield, MO; great niece, Tara McConnaughy of Springfield, MO; great nephew Travis McConnaughy and wife Sarah of Wasola, MO; brother-in-law Calvin Watson of Wasola, MO; and close cousins Colene and Paul Rose of Gainesville, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Flo Hawkins; a brother Adron Hawkins; and his twin sister EllaJean Watson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, MO with Vic Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. to service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Smith Chapel Cemetery or to Fair Haven Children’s Home and can be left at the funeral home.
