Ruby Nora Miller Ava, MO

Ruby Nora Miller, 85 years, passed to heaven on May 18, 2012 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO with her family by her side.

Ruby was born March 19, 1927 in Rome, MO to Audie Etzel and Izoria Elnora (Carter) Jenkins.

On January 22, 1975 Ruby and Russell Miller were united in marriage in Rock Island, IL. Ruby was a Christian. In her youth, Ruby loved to hunt and fish. She also enjoyed farming and being in the outdoors with her husband, Russell. Her joy was cooking and taking care of her family.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell Miller, two sons, Robert Lathrop and Dean Rowe, seven sisters, Dolly Mae, Delphia Marie, Viola Faye, Ora Dena, Lola Juanita, Martha Lee and Dorothy.

Ruby is survived by four children & their spouses, Russell Burl & Linda Miller, Ava, MO, Zelma & Nuel Cockrum, Brixey, MO, Lena Mae & Bernie Hutchison and Jeannie & Kenny Pierce, both of Ava, MO, 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 29 great great grandchildren, five sisters, Goldie Miller, Audrey Huffman both of Ava, MO, Verdia Komlo, Lorene Byrd and Erma Overcast, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ruby will be Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Dobbs Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Freeda Holt. Memorials may be made to Three Rivers Hospice, Mtn. Grove, MO or Dobbs Cemetery.
