TRULA MAY MALLOW

Trula May Mallow, 96, of Gainesville, MO passed to heaven on July 9, 2012 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center in Gainesville, MO. She was born in Ozark County on April 24, 1916, the daughter of William Jasper and Zora (Morrison) Young.

At the age of eighteen, Trula was united in marriage to Willis T. Mallow. The young couple moved to St. Louis, MO, where Willis had found work. After a few years of saving their money, they moved back to Ozark County and bought a farm near Brixey, MO, that the family still owns today. Trula was a wonderful homemaker. She was a great cook and loved to garden. She was a kind hearted woman who made friends with anyone she met. Trula was a Christian. She was baptized at an early age and was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ.

Trula is survived by one son Russell W. Mallow and his wife Deborah of Ava, MO; four grandchildren Mike Mallow and wife Amy of Mountain Grove, MO, Misty Jordan and husband Todd Farrell of Ava, MO, Kreg Mallow and wife Jennie of Chicago, IL and Denise Mashburn of Lee Summit, MO; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jasper and Zora Young; her husband, Willis T. Mallow; one son William D. Mallow; one grandson Marty Mallow; five brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2012 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO. Visitation will be Friday morning from 10 a.m. to service time.
