DAVE WAYNE BATES

Dave Bates, 56, of Gainesville, MO passed away on July 12, 2012 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR. He was born on September 22, 1955 in Mountain Home, son of Fred Wayne and Marjorie Marie (Hunter) Bates.

Dave attended school in Mountain Home. He graduated from Twin Lakes Vocational Technical School with an Auto Mechanics Award in 1975. On January 31, 1980 he was united in marriage to Mary Friend in Mountain Home. The couple soon moved to Gainesville, MO where they have been long time residents. Dave was a hard worker. He loved his family very much. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Marjorie Bates; his wife, Mary Bates in September of last year; and one son Robby Bates. He is survived by two children, B.J. Bates of Gainesville, MO and Lisa Fuertes of Hudson, FL; and four grandchildren Abigail, Mia, Arianna and Kyna.

Funeral services for Dave will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO with Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
