Hugh was a great friend, and an honorable person. He lived his life in a way to be an example to us all. He was a true testament of loyalty and dedication. He always had a smile on his face, and always knew how to brighten up anyone's day who came into contact with him. He had a knack of not telling you what you wanted to hear, but what you needed to hear, which I believe to be a mark of a true friend. He always had an ear for those who needed someone to listen.

Even though Hugh is no longer with us, I know he is in a better place smiling down at us all. Although he will be missed, I look forward to seeing him again someday in Glory Land.

Though i have never met you, I have had the privilege of knowing and calling your son Shaun a best friend. I have heard countless stories of you with great fondness, admiration, and love in your sons voice. Thank you for your service, love, and commitment to family. Your love and example of how to be a man has raised a great son and brought a great friend into my life. Sincerely- Kendall M. Lamm

I'm sorry for your loss. I too have lost loved ones so I can understand your pain. But Jesus gave us a hope in the Bible at John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." Also read John 5:28-29. So, we will be able to see our loved ones again by means of the resurrection. Then we will never have to lose them again. Isn't this good news? Why can we say that? Because God has promised us this in the Bible at such scriptures as Isaiah 25:8, Isaiah 26:19, and Revelation 21:3-5.
