Funeral services for Thomas Wray, 52, of Forsyth, MO and formerly of Theodosia, MO will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017.  Thomas passed away on December 23, 2017 at the Forsyth Nursing and Rehab Center after a 7 year battle with MS. He was born December 1, 1965 in West Plains, MO.

Thomas Wray, the son of Elmer and Gracie Wray, graduated from Gainesville School in 1983.  Thomas was employed by Chaney Monument for almost 20 years before establishing his own back-hoe business. Thomas also enjoyed raising cattle on the family farm and doing custom hay in the summer.

Thomas married Nancy Kennedy in 2002. He had two children, Evie and Johnathan (JD), and 3 step children.  Thomas lived in Theodosia until only 2 years ago.  His favorite activities included spending time with family and friends, visiting around a bon-fire, four-wheel riding, or playing games. He was also fond of playing checkers, listening to music, and watching the sunset after a day's work.

Survivors include his wife Nancy of Forsyth, MO, son JD Wray of Theodosia, step-daughter Lauren Stehle and Tate Stehle of Theodosia, step-daughter Kelly Warren and John Warren of Springfield, MO, step-son Thomas Carter of Kansas City, sister Gloria Walker and Michael Walker of Springfield, MO and brother Randy Wray and Judy Wray of Thornfield, MO. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Wray and Gracie Futrell Wray, brother Gary Wray, and his daughter Evie Wray.

Thomas Wray will be laid to rest in the Lutie Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Salem General Baptist Church or the Lutie Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
