Afton Noel Nash, 22 years, 2 months, and 24 days old, went to be with Jesus on March 11, 2015 at her dormitory room at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, MO.

Afton was born December 17, 1992 in Springfield, MO to Derrick Shawn and Geraldine "Jerrie" (Brooks) Nash. She graduated from Ava High School in 2011.

Afton was a Senior at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, MO. Her major was Business Management. She was a member of the College of the Ozarks Chamber Choir.

Afton was preceded in death by her grandfather, Bob Mitchem, grandmother, Mary Ellen Brooks, great grandmother, Helen Ann Dudash and great grandfather, Julius George Dudash.


Afton is survived by her parents, Jerrie & Bob Mason, Ava, MO and Shawn & Julie Nash, Barnhart, MO, four brothers, Zach Nash, Ava, Nicholas Nash, Barnhart, MO, Sean Mason, Jeremiah Mason both of Ava, one sister, Kati Mason, Denver, CO, paternal grandparents, Sue Mitchem and Rick Nash both of Springfield, MO and many other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Afton will be Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Thornfield House of Prayer Cemetery, Thornfield, MO. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Brother, Steve Mixer. Memorials may be made to College of the Ozarks, Business Office, P.O.
