Alice June Johnson, 88 years, passed to Heaven on May 18, 2014 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.

Alice was born August 2, 1925 in Wilson, Kansas to Paul and Georgia (Chaffee) Miller.

Alice was employed by Riverways Health Care and as a caregiver at the Ava schools after school program .

Alice June and William F. Johnson were united in marriage on September 7, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan and to this union two children were born.

She was a member of Happy Home Church where she played the piano.

Alice June loved children and spending time with her grandchildren, neices, and nephews who affectionately referred to her as June Bug. Alice was a very special lady who was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed playing the piano and feeding birds. June was an animal lover, often taking in stray cats and dogs.

Alice June was preceded in death by her husband and a son, one brother, and a sister.

Alice is survived by a daughter, Beth Johnson, Ava, MO, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, as well as many dear friends and relatives who will miss her greatly.


Memorial services for Alice will be Saturday, May 24,2014 at 2:00 PM in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home. A visitation for Alice will start at 1:00 to service time. Officiating will be Pastor Raymond Haden.
