Allen Lee Baird

Allen Lee Baird, 59 years, 7 months, and 29 days old, passed away on April 7, 2026 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO with his family by his side.

Allen was born August 8, 1966 in Springfield, Missouri to Raymond and Francis Jodean (Cunningham) Baird.

Allen grew up in the McClurg Community and attended school at Bradleyville, Missouri. He was also the self elected sheriff of Rome, Missouri.

Allen was a brick layer and also worked in other construction.

Allen enjoyed fishing, hunting, arrowhead hunting, gardening, and working on things. He also liked to whittle. He loved looking for morel mushrooms.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Billy Ray, Dennis Keith, Lewis, and Dan.

Allen is survived by his six siblings, Angel Roy, Kirk and Tammy Baird, Ray Baird, Keith Baird, Eric Baird, and Alice Albrecht; numerous nieces; nephews; extended family and many friends.

Funeral services for Allen will be Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 AM to service time.  Officiating will be Pastor Rob Dalton. Memorials may be made to Shriners Children's.
