Allene Camp

Ava, Missouri

Allene Camp, 96 years, 3 months, 24 days old, went home to Heaven on December 6, 2017 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare in Ava, MO with her family by her side.

Allene was born August 22, 1921 in Ayden, North Carolina to Joseph and Myrtle Estell (Patrick) McLawhorn.

On July 14, 1944 Allene and Lloyd E. Camp were united in marriage at Ayden, North Carolina and to this union one child was born.

She worked as a Dietary Employee  at Heart of the Ozarks for many years.

She was a Christian and was a member of  the Church of Christ in Ava.  She helped with the church clothing giveaway for many years.  Allene volunteered for the O.A.T.S.

Allene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lloyd in 1981, two sisters, Bessie Yeager and Sarah Jones, and one brother, Pat McLawhorn.

She is survived by one son, James Lawrence Camp and wife, Laura, one sister, Phyllis Harrington, many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Allene will be Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava with burial in the Brixey Cemetery (K Hwy).  Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 am to service time.  Officiating will be Joe Corum.  Memorials may be made to the Brixey Cemetery Fund at Century Bank in Ava, MO.
