ALMA MARIE GARRISON BROWN
Alma Marie Garrison Brown passed away Sunday Afternoon, October 7, 2007 at the Hospice House in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was 92 years old. Alma was born on June 12, 1915 in Lead Hill, Arkansas to Ed Hutchinson and Ava (Blackwell) Hutchinson. On August 30, 1931 Alma and John Henry Garrison were married in Peel, Arkansas, to this union were born 6 children. John Henry passed away on December 5, 1958. Then on June 29, 1964 Alma and Owen Brown were married in DeKalb, Illinois. Owen passed away March 29, 1993. A Christian and a member of the Pentecostal faith, Alma is survived by her children Tressie Gott of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Boyd Garrison and wife Freeda of Theodosia, Missouri, Judy Jones and husband Lynn of Theodosia, Missouri, Janice Henderson and husband Jim of Isabella, Missouri, and Chris McDaris and husband David of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren; sister Margaret Rhodes of Clinton, Oklahoma; special friends and caregivers Cindy Bailey and Bruce Wright.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ed Hutchinson and Ava Hutchinson Lantz, husbands John Henry Garrison and Owen Brown, infant daughter Rowena, brother Alfred, and sister Ruby.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM, October 9, 2007, Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, with Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Isabella Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm prior to service.
Memorials may be made to the Isabella Cemetery and left at the funeral home.
