Alvin Ray Miller, 78 years, 11 months, 4 days old, passed away on February 8, 2017 at his home.

Alvin was born March 4, 1938 in Ava, MO to Claude Otto Miller and Mary Jane (Graham) Miller.

Alvin was a retired Dairy Farmer. He also worked at 20th Century Cheese and for Rondo Prock in Ava.

On Dec. 3, 1965 Alvin and Rose Miller were united in marriage in Ava and to this union three children were born.


Alvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising dogs, working with horses, and being with his friends. Most of all, Alvin enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren!

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, an infant, daughter, Misty, two infant brothers, and several aunts and uncles.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Rose of the home in Ava, two children and their spouses, Paul & Tawana Miller, LaCrosse, WI, and Rachel & Nathan Williams, Ava, MO, five grandchildren, Tarrah Ray Goforth, Tiffany Marylou Williams, Emillie Rose Williams, Hunter Eugene Nelson, and Harley Alvin Miller, one aunt, Esther Heath, Billings, MO, many cousins, and other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Alvin will be Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Dobbs Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 9th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Moore and Pastor Ray Dobbs. Memorials may be made to Dobbs Cemetery .
