AMY HICKMAN
Amy Hickman, daughter of Roy and Louisa (Grisham) Landers, was born October 21, 1914 in Ozark County, MO and passed away October 9, 2008 in Mountain Home, AR at the age of 93 years.
She was united in marriage to Otis S. Hackler in 1933. After her first husband was deceased, she was married to Harold Hickman.
In her younger years with her first husband she lived at times in Ozark County and Kansas City, MO where she worked a number of years. After marrying her second husband she lived in West Plains, MO about 15 years. The last 16 years she had been a resident of Ozark County.
Mrs. Hickman was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Gainesville, MO. Of course, she loved her family. She had a passion for flower gardening and reading; and while married to Harold some very lively scrabble games.
Amy is survived by one daughter Mona Forrest and husband James of Gainesville, MO; one son Lee Jay Hackler and wife Pat of Alma, AR; 3 grandchildren Bryan Forrest and wife Kelly of Gainesville, MO, Melanie DeWeese and husband Bruce of Hardenville, MO, LeeAnn Belt and husband Chad of Alma, AR; one sister Vada Stevens of Little Rock, AR; sister-in-law Mary Ruth Landers of Belton, MO; 6 great grandchildren Loren and Brianna Belt, Lindsey Forrest, Dallas and Cheyenne DeWeese, and Kasey Cofey and husband Chris; 2 great-great grandchildren Cadin and Conner; a number of nieces and nephews, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law by her second husband.
She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 13, 2008, 2:00 PM at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Mike Dillin and Jeff Dotson officiating. Interment will be in Sims Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday starting at 1:00 PM to service time. Services are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
