Obituary

Anita Lee Eacret, 83, of Gainesville, MO passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, Mtn Home, AR. She was born December 27, 1936 in San Jacinto, California to Floyd and Inez (Hector) Brown, where she spent most of her early years.
She met the love of her life and best friend, Milton Clyde Eacret, while still in high school. The two were joined in marriage on April 29, 1955. After 20 years of raising six children in a Navy family, and living in numerous places around the country, Milton retired from the military, and they settled in the Ozarks, where Anita devoted herself to public service as a case worker for Ozark Action until her retirement in her early seventies. She was a devoted member of the Smith Chapel Church of Christ and taught Sunday School there for many years. Anita was a wonderful mother and grandmother as well as a genuine, kind-hearted, Christian lady, who was steadfast in her faith and brought out the best in those around her. She was a rarity in this world and will be missed dearly by her surviving family and friends, who are comforted in the knowledge that she is at peace and with her beloved husband.

Anita is survived by her six children and their spouses, Elaine Butler of Theodosia, MO, Steve and Linda Eacret of Little Rock, AR, Terry and Donna Eacret of Rogersville, MO, Cheryl Eacret of Gainesville, MO, Melanie and Bret Cook of Theodosia, MO, and Scott and Lisa Eacret of Maryland Heights, MO; her brother, Donald Brown and his wife, Sandi Brown of Gainesville, MO, her brother in law and sister in law, James Eacret and Helen Wilson of California, and her sister in law, Linda Brown of Springfield, MO; her 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Milton, her mother and father, Inez and Floyd Brown, her brother Charlie Brown, her mother in law and father in law, Loretta and Bedford Cansler, her sister in laws and brother in laws, Connie Eacret, and Betty and Bill Wilson.
