Anna Johanna Hughes, 80 years, passed to heaven on March 3, 2012 at her home with her family by her side.



Anna was born March 29, 1931 in Smackout, MO in Douglas County to Casey and Rosa (Hodge) Schinkel.



Anna was a resident of the Seymour community for 22 years.
On June 17, 1974 Anna and William "Bill" Hughes were united in marriage in Waukegan, IL. Anna was a member of the Ava General Baptist Church.
She enjoyed gardening, long walks and loved raising her dogs. The most important thing in her life was that she loved her Lord and Savior.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband,Wilburn Cole.

Anna is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Hughes, Seymour, MO, two children, Barbara Young & husband, David, Seymour, MO and Alan Cole & wife, Shelley, Cornell, IL, three grandchildren, Karen, Alan Jr. and Tanya, two great grandchildren, Donavan and Devyn, one sister, Ruby Alcorn, Ava, MO, one brother, Elmer Schinkel, Mexico, MO, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.



Funeral services for Anna will be Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Fannon Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn.
