Arlice Lavon DeVina, 89 years, 7 months, and 28 days old, passed away on June 13, 2011 at St.John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO.
Arlice was born October 15, 1921 in Lawrence County, MO to George and Julia (Stiles) Freeman.
On December 28, 1949 Arlice and Joseph DeVina were united in marriage in Miami, OK. Arlice was a resident of the Ava community since 1974 moving from Springfield, MO, where she retired from working at Lily Tulip Co. She had been a member of the East Avenue Baptist Church in Springfield prior to moving to Ava.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, needlepoint, crocheting, puzzles and reading. Her joy was being with her husband, Joe and her family.
Arlice was preceded in death by her parents.
Arlice is survived by her husband, Joe DeVina, Ava, MO, one daughter, Avis Hartley, Marshfield, MO, three grandchildren, Miles Hartley, Overland Park, KS, Kris Cook, Birmingham, AL and Shannon Bertoldie, Marshfield, MO, several great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Cremation for Arlice is being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
