Arthur Johnny McCarty, son of Leo McCarty and Wynona Bernadine Linder McCarty was born on June 11, 1957 in Muscatine, Iowa and passed from this life with his loving family with him on May 26, 2007 in Norwood, MO at the age of 49 years, 11 months and 15 days.

Johnny was a resident of Norwood community for the past two years moving from Muscatine, IA where he worked in Construction for several years. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Navy. Johnny loved hunting & fishing in his free time. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his great twin nephews, Alex and Aaron.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Leo and his grandparents, Art & Jerd Linder and John and Rena McCarty.

He is survived by his mother, Wynona "Moni" McCarty Hicks, Norwood, MO, his fiancé, Robin Shelton, Norwood, MO, three children, Justice McCarty and Arthur Johnny McCarty, Jr. both of Texas and Jennifer Lynn McCarty, Illinois, two sisters, Frances Adams, Texas and Leslie McCarty, Iowa, two brothers, Matt McCarty and David McCarty both of Iowa, two special great nephews, Alex & Aaron Underwood, Norwood, MO, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial service for Johnny will be Wed., May 30, 2007, 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with James "Butch" Linder officiating. Family requests memorials as a love offering to the family.
