BARBARA JEAN PARRISH

Barbara Jean Parrish passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008 in Petal Forrest, Mississippi. She was 46 years old. She was born on December 3, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Claude Eugene and Kathryn Margaret (Todd) Richison. Barbara worked for the Petal Public School District as a Child Nutritionist. She attended the Turning Point Church and was the former Vice President for the TCB for Elvis Fan Club.

Mrs. Parrish is survived by her husband Dale of the home; one son Charles Bryan Houpt of Brooklyn, MS; five daughters Claudia Michelle Houpt, Katie Leah Houpt, Candice Jean Parrish, Rena Presleigh Parrish, and Georgia Darlene Parrish all of Petal MS; mother and step-father Kathy and Joe Ortega of Kountze, TX; three grandchildren; three sisters Angela Stone of Gladstone, MO, Constance Gross of Orange, TX, and Arlene Silva of Galveston, TX; one brother Ricky Richison; and several other family members from the Gainesville, MO area. She was preceded in death by her father Claude Richison.

A service will be held in Petal, Mississippi on Thursday, May 15, 2008. Graveside service for Mrs. Parrish will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 @ 10:30 AM in Sallee Cemetery east of Gainesville, Missouri. Visitation will be 9-10 AM at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville Saturday morning. Services will be under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville.
