Barbara Mae Pettibone, 55 years, 4 months, and 20 days old, passed to heaven on September 7, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO.

Barbara was born April 17, 1959 in Springfield, MO to Donald and Beulah (Brown) Smith. She graduated from Hartville High School in 1977.

Barbara was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 22 years. She loved working in long term care. She was a Christian and a member of the Little Creek Baptist Church near Hartville.

Barbara and Marvin Pettibone were united in marriage on April 17, 1990 in Pendleton, Oregon and to this union one son, Jeffrey was born.

She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, her flowers, traveling and most of all being with her family.

Barbara was preceded by her father, Donald Smith and a son, Robert Harman.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Marvin, a son, Jeffrey Pettibone, Point Lookout, MO, one daughter & husband, Brianne & Bill Stucker, Park City, KS, her mother, Beulah Dahna, Valley Center, KS, three grandchildren, Jason, Christina and Kenny, two sisters, Faye Dahna and husband, Dennis, Valley Center, KS, Roberta Ford, Camdenton, MO, one brother, Ray Smith, Valley Center, KS, three nephews, one niece and a host of other relatives and friends.



Funeral services for Barbara will be Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Little Creek Baptist Church, Hartville, MO with burial in the Coon Creek Cemetery near Hartville. Officiating is Rev. Mark Fugitt. Visitation will be Wed. 10:00 a.m. to service time in the church. Memorials may be made to the family as a Love Offering or to Barbara Pettibone Memorial Fund at any U.S. Bank. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
