Bascom York Huskey, 60 years, old passed to heaven on July 21, 2011 at St.John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO with wife, niece and nephew by his side.
B.Y. was born March 23, 1951 in Hot Springs, NC to Emmett and Opal J. (Wood) Huskey.
B.Y. was a Taxi Driver in Ava and he also had worked as a Police Officer in Wentzville, MO and also a Service Station Manager. He was an Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. B.Y. enjoyed fishing and digital photography. His joy was spending time with "Jeri" and his baby dogs, Chewy and Sassy.
B.Y. and Geraldine Hayes were united in marriage on 10/25/1969 in Gainesville, MO.
B.Y. was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lloyd and Kenneth Huskey, his in-laws, Tom and Mary Hayes.
B.Y. is survived by his wife, Geraldine "Jeri" Huskey, Ava, MO, nieces and nephews, James, Daniel, Mark and Rachel Huskey, four sisters-in-law, Jessie Willis, Judy Huskey, Barbara Smith and Janie Swisher, and one brother-in-law, Bud Hayes and many other relatives and friends of course, his best friends, Chewy and Sassy.
Cremation services for B. Y. are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. A memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later date and time.
