BEATRICE ELLEANOR LEEDY
Beatrice Elleanor Craig Leedy, 92, of Gainesville, MO passed away on March 26, 2013 at the West Vue Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Plains, MO. She was the second daughter born to Arthur A. Craig and Mary S. (Moore) Craig on June 9, 1920 in Blythedale, MO.
She graduated from the Blythedale Public School in 1937. She went to Minnesota and worked for awhile and returned home for a few years and then went with her cousin and family to California where she worked in the North American Air Plane Plant. While working there she met and married her husband Eugene Leedy but in later years the couple divorced. They had two sons Phillip Eugene Leedy and Larry Alvin Leedy. She worked a few more years, then came back to Missouri to live, bought a home and retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Phillip Eugene Leedy; one sister Helen Craig; and one brother Darryl Craig. She is survived by one son Larry Alvin Leedy and wife Patricia and grandson Alan Leedy all of California; two sisters Jeanell Craig and Eugenia Elmore of Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013 in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Blythedale, MO. On line condolences may be made to www.clinkingbeardfuneralhome.com.
