Benjamin Franklin Denney, 76, passed to Heaven on September 7, 2012 at his home.
Ben was born September 3, 1936 in Douglas County, MO to Benjamin and Ethel Mae (Cox) Denney.
Ben and Mae Lockenby were united in marriage on June 1st, 1961 in Ava, MO. To this union five children were born.
Ben was preceded by his parents, one son, Benjamin Franklin IV, two brothers, and one sister.
Ben loved to hunt deer, as well as playing with his grandchildren.
Benjamin is survived by his wife, Mae, of the home, four daughters, Kathy Findley and husband David, Ava, MO, Ethel Mae Johnson, Mt. Vernon, MO, Connie Dougherty, Ava, MO, Billie Ramsey and husband Kent, Licking, MO, twenty grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, three sisters, Ruth Shumate and husband Lloyd, Ruby Graham and husband Don, Loetta Kelley and husband Mike, and many neices, nephews, family, and friends.
Funeral services will for Benjamin will be Monday, September 10th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Tabor Church, with burial in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9th, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. Officiating will be Dennis Shumate. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
