BENJAMIN JOHN LONG JR

A celebration of life will be held for Benjamin John Long Jr., 56, of Gainesville, MO on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO. A gathering after the service will be held at the home of good friends, David and Gina Hirsh. All are welcome to attend.

Ben opened a door to a new adventure the moment he passed, April 24, 2014, at his residence. He was born August 25, 1957 in Baltimore, MD.

He is survived by his wife Julie; his three sons Drake, Nicholas and Benjamin; his father Roy; two sisters Kathy and Melanie and his brother Jake.

Ben joined the Navy right out of high school during the Vietnam era. He was in Submarines and enjoyed the time he spent serving his country. Ben was an Arborist by trade and a musician. He liked spending time in the tree tops and playing his bass. His favorite past time was spent with his family and his friends. He is very loved and will be greatly missed.
