BESSIE NADINE NIEBOER

Bessie Nieboer, Kansas City, MO, passed away on May 5, 2009 at the age of 99 years. She was born on September 23, 1909 in Peel, AR the daughter of William Thomas and Veda Lon (Hudson) Lee.

She was a homemaker. On September 5, 1928 she was united in marriage to Floyd Wallace in Marion County, AR. To this union one son, Lexie Sterlin Wallace, was born. After Floyd's death in 1962, she married Paul Hillhouse on January 8, 1963 in Baxter County, AR. Paul was a preacher and they traveled around the country to different churches spreading the gospel. After Paul's death in 1971, she married John Nieboer in Spalding, GA on September 19, 1977. John preceded her in death on December 5, 1982.

Bessie is survived by her grandchildren Pamela Smith of Mission, KS, Lex Wallace of Kansas City, MO, and Nelita Greufe of Pleasant Hill, MO; six great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Veda Lee; three husbands Floyd Wallace, Paul Hillhouse, and John Nieboer; four sisters Effie, Flossie, Liddy, and Laura; and two brothers Hobert and Robert.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Thornfield Chapel, Thornfield, MO with Lynn Jennings officiating. Interment will be in the Thornfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 AM to service time at Thornfield Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Thornfield Cemetery or to Heartland Hospice, 1001 E. 101 Terrace Suite 180, Kansas City, MO 64131.
