Bethene Mitchell

Bethene Mitchell, 77 years, 6 months, and 12 days old, passed to Heaven on April 1, 2016 at her home in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Bethene was born September 20, 1938 in Pansy, MO to Elzie and Dora (Williams) Stillings.

Bethene was a retired caterer.

She was a Christian and a member of the Baptist Church.

Bethene and Ray Munhall were united in marriage in 1956 and to this union four Children were born. She later remarried Dee Turner and to this union one child was born.

Bethene was preceded by her parents, three brothers, Elzie Jr., Marvin and Vernis Stillings, and five sisters, Fern Dorman, Imogene Winters, Donna Sue Blades, Mildred Stillings, and Melverine Stillings.



Bethene is survived by one son, Wendell Turner, Portland, OR, four daughters, Sandra, Valerie, Lisa Hefner, and Janet Harper, three brothers, Dale Stillings and wife Marina of Cassville, MO, Vernie Stillings and wife Myrna of Salina, KS, Harrison Stillings of Springfield, MO, Janet Jones and husband Alan of Oldfield, MO, and Marie McDonald of Dallas, TX, a special cousin, Wilma Jean Hampton of Ozark, MO, and many other family and friends who will miss her.


Graveside services for Bethene will be April 9, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Stillings Cemetery. Officiating will be Vernie Stillings. Memorials may be made to Stillings Cemetery.
