Betty Lucille Coonts, 84 years, 2 months, and 12 days old, passed to Heaven on October 13, 2015 at the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare with her granddaughter, Brandy by her side.
Betty was born August 1, 1931 in Brushyknob, MO to Carl and Ida Mae (Page) Johnson.
Betty was a life long resident of Douglas County. On July 31, 1948 Betty and Daniel "Dan" Coonts were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR and to this union two children were born, Lavila Ann and Mark Emerick.
Betty was a retired cook from Rockbridge. She had worked there for many years. She enjoyed needle-point and sewing together a variety of items from quilts to homemade rabbits. Betty was a Christian.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Daniel, her two children, Mark and Lavila Ann Coonts, one sister, Irene and one brother, Earnest "Ernie" Johnson.
Betty is survived by granddaughter, Brandy Coonts and grandson, Brandon Coonts both of Cabool, MO, one brother, Delbert Johnson, Germany,many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Betty will be Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Brushyknob Cemetery east of Ava. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Moore. Memorials may be made to Brushyknob Cemetery Fund. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
