Elizabeth C. Halcomb, 91 years, 11 months, 11 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on August 11, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.
Betty was born August 30, 1930 in the family home on Cedar Creek near Oldfield, MO in Christian County to Oren and Maggie (Nance) Casey.
On April 9, 1951 Betty and Junior Halcomb were united in marriage at Oldfield, MO and were blessed with two children, Connie and David.
Betty was a Homemaker and she also worked as a telephone operator with Bell Telephone in Springfield, MO. Betty took care of the family farm and grew an abundant garden. She was a Christian and a member of the Mound Baptist Church. Betty adored her family and loved the years spent taking care of her grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Junior in June of 2021; an infant sister; two brothers, Wayne and Bill Casey and a sister, Nita Lambeth.
Betty is survived by her children, Connie & John Siler and David & Glenda Halcomb; grandchildren, Amanda & Brad Evans, Brad & Patty Siler, Sandy Johnson, Heather Stewart, and Summer Stewart; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters, Lorene & Elwyn Pare and Carol & Frank Dusek; one brother, J.B. & Marcelene Casey; sister-in-law, Shirley Halcomb, sister-in-law, Linda & James Orick, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Betty will be Monday, August 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Hall Cemetery at Mound on T Hwy. Officiating will be Rev. James Orick and Pastor Bill Dowell. Memorials may be made to Hall Cemetery.
