Betty Joan "Hartgraves" Holt life long resident of the Ava Missouri former wife and close friend of Bill Holt departed this life Jan 9, 2010.

Betty was born December 20, 1940 in Hammond, MO to William and Leona Williams Hartgraves. She was preceded in death by her Parents Bill and Leona Hartgraves of Thornfield, Missouri, son Ricky Ross and stepson Tim Holt, Two brothers Gene Hartgraves and Wayne Hartgraves , two nephews Danny Hartgraves and Johnny Killough , One Niece Anna Marie West.


She is survived by her brother Vernon Hartgraves his wife Dedria of Ava and sister Carolyn Killough of Wichita KS, a son Billy Holt his wife Anita of Ava, two Granddaughters Samantha and Katrina Holt, three Great Grandsons: Justus, Trenton and Daytona, all of Ava, and a loving host of family and friends.

Throughout her life she enjoyed flying with Bill in a Piper 140, riding motorcycles, gardening and driving around in her little red buggy. She worked many years at: Rawlings, Rexall Drug and several years later at Ava Drug, where she would laugh and carry on with customers and co-workers. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, and spent hours with her great-grandsons playing cars, reading books and watching lots of Scooby-Doo. She will be missed by all!


Funeral services for Joan will be Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. in Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava with Robert Grisham officiating and burial in the Ava Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Neighbor Helping Neighbor at the funeral home.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 12, from 6 till 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
