Betty Mc Connaughey the daughter of Marvin Gosage and Evelyn (Serber) Gosage was born July 17, 1927 in Prescott, AZ and departed this life Feb. 19, 2009 at the home of her life long friend, at the age of 81 years 7 months and 2 days.
Betty was a resident of the Ava area for the past 3 years from Colorado Springs, CO. Betty and Carroll Mc Connaughey were united in marriage in Colorado Springs, CO. Carroll and Betty were blessed with three sons.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Michael. She is survived by two sons, Steve and wife Carmalita and Mark Mc Connaughey, both on Colorado Springs, Co, four grandchildren, David and wife Trish, Nathan and wife Nicole, Maura and Husband Dustin, and Mark, four great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Andru, Auna and Aisling, life long friends, Frank and Jane Losh, Ava, MO, three brothers, Gary Gosage and wife Gail, David Hamilton and Jim Hamilton all of Colorado Springs, CO.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grand children, her friends and her dog Peaches. Betty and Carroll enjoyed their occasional trips to Cripple Creek. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will hold a celebration of life in Colorado Springs, Co at a later date. Memorials can be made to Community Hospice of Mnt. Grove.
