Betty Jean Reynolds

Ava, Missouri

Betty Jean Reynolds, 81 years, 9 months, and 1 day old, passed away on July 14, 2023 at home with her husband by her side.

Betty was born October 13, 1941 in Mansfield, MO to Everette and Lois (Bristol) Rush.

She was a graduate of Ava High School.  She retired after 43 years from working at Copeland in Ava and previously with Rawlings, Spaldings and then Emerson.

On July 8, 1961 Betty and Ray Reynolds were united in marriage in Ava at the First General Baptist Church. They were blessed with one son, Dwight.

She enjoyed her flowers and loved to travel all over the west in the RV. She and Ray also loved exploring caves. Betty always loved cooking and rarely would eat out. She was a member of the Ava General Baptist Church and she loved going to church when she was able.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Norman Rush.

Betty is survived by her husband, Ray; her son Dwight and a granddaughter, Marissa Reynolds; in-laws, Sharon Rush, Marilyn Robertson, Larry Reynolds, Duane Reynolds and Edward Reynolds and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Betty will be Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the Ava Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn.  Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
