Beulah passed away April 1, 2026, at The Gardens Assisted Living facility in Springfield, MO, where she resided a year.
A long-time Ozark County resident, Beulah was born September 19, 1934, to Pate and Alma (Beasley) Friend, at Dugginsville, MO.
From attending a one-room schoolhouse during grade school to later riding the mail car to school, she always placed an emphasis on education. Her family rented a house in Gainesville when it came time for her to go to high school. After graduation, she moved to Springfield to attend Draughon’s Business College. She graduated from Draughon’s in 1956 and worked for a law firm and an insurance firm while in Springfield.
She married Mearl Satterfield on December 29, 1956, in Springfield. They moved back to Ozark County in 1960, living on a farm in the Tecumseh area until 2014, when she and Mearl moved to Sparta to be closer to their children.
Beulah enjoyed gardening and traveling on bus trips with her friends. She had great experiences touring Canada, Colorado, Washington DC, South Dakota, Florida, New Mexico and many other states.
She worked 14 years for the Ozark County Times and several years at the Ozark County Health Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mearl, her parents, and a sister, Opal Frost.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Doug) Livingston of Branson, MO, and grandson, Austin (Britt) of Springfield, MO, her son Roger (Kimberly) Satterfield of Oldfield, MO, and two granddaughters, Michaela (Chris) Roberts and Katelyn Satterfield of Ozark, MO.
The family would especially like to thank the health care workers at The Gardens Assisted Living facility and St. Croix Hospice for the excellent care they gave Beulah.
Flowers may be sent to Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, MO or donations may be made to the Lilly Ridge Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
