Beverly Jo Johnson

Ava, Missouri

Beverly Jo Johnson, 79 years, 4 months, 23 days old, passed to her Heavenly home on July 29, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri with her family her side.

On March 6, 1947, Jo was born in McClurg, Missouri, to Condy Dean Phillip and Verbial Rosalie (Cox) Cornett. Jo attended the Bradleyville schools and graduated from High School in 1965.

On March 7, 1969, Jo and Lowell John Johnson were united in marriage in Miami, Oklahoma, and together were blessed with a daughter, Romy.

Jo and Lowell with Romy lived for several years in Springfield, Missouri. Jo had a strong faith in the Lord and became an Penticostal Evangelist. She was known for being on the local radio show called GO with KKOZ every Saturday since 1988. She traveled to preach the gospel at many churches in the area.

Some of Jo’s hobbies were being in the outdoors, watching the birds and all God’s creatures. She had a great love for animals, which was passed down to her daughter and grandchildren.

Her joy was being with her family. Her husband, Lowell was always taking good care of her and never left her side. Today, we call that true love. Her legacy of love and love for the Lord will forever be with her family and beyond.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Doris Lambeth, Nancy Todd, Wanetta Plumb, Juanita Dixon, Dean Reed, and Kay Whittaker; her son-in-law, Warner Roaseau

Jo is survived by her husband, Lowell; her daughter, Romy Roaseau; two grandchildren, Hattie and Joshua Roaseau; siblings, Wondy & Martha Sue Cornett and Shirley & Larry Johnson; many nieces; nephews; extended family and numerous friends.
