Billie Sue McGill, 87 years passed away on September 17, 2009 at St.John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO.
Billie was born October 3, 1921 in Pineland, TX to Joseph and Susan (Beard) James.
On June 21, 1942, Billie and William "Bill" Malloy were united in marriage in Jasper, TX and to this union two daughters were born. "Bill" preceded in death in 1977.
Later in years, Billie married Howard McGill on July 3, 1989.
Billie retired as Secretary from Rawlings Sporting Goods in Ava, MO in 1986. Then she went to work for 11 years with FEMA, Federal Emergency Management Agency. She was member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ava Chapter #47. She was their Worthy Matron three times and was a member over 50 years. Billie was a Charter member of the Cal Neiman Chapter of NSDAR, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and served as Regent. She was currently serving as Regent of the The Daughters of the American Colonists.She was a Charter member of the Colonial Dames XVII Century and also a member of the Huguenots Society and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Billie was a member of the St. Francis Anglican Episcopal Church in Ava.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, {Bill} Malloy, nine brothers and sisters.
Billie is survived by husband, Howard McGill of Ava, MO, two daughters and their spouses,Carol & Jim Ginger, Willis, VA and Patricia & Scott Syens, Johnsburg, IL, five grandchildren, Jody and Amy Ginger, Ronda, Brenda & Alex Bingman, two great grandsons, Brandon & Wesley Sizelove, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Billie will be Monday, September 21, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Arno Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Glen Hartley. Memorials may be made to the Cal Neiman NSDAR Chapter in Ava, MO, the National Society DAC (Daughters of the American Colonists), Stukely Westcott Chapter in Springfield, MO or to the donor's choice of charity.
