BOBBY GEORGE CONNER
Bob Conner, 74, of Pontiac, Missouri passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
He was born August 11, 1941 at Gassville, Arkansas to Johnny and Della Conner. He was married to Joan Mahan on April 2, 1965 in Gassville, Arkansas. They made their home in Pontiac, Missouri nearby to the family farm. He spent the majority of his professional career in retail management. He loved spending time with family, friends, hunting, fishing, spending time on Bull Shoals Lake and "talking" to his cats. He especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as Pappa.
Bob is survived by his children, a daughter, Tammy Jo Stearns and husband Travis, Managua, Nicaragua, a son, Bobby Dean Conner of Washington D.C., three grandchildren, Devon Stearns of Branson, MO, Slaton and Antonio Stearns of Managua, Nicaragua, siblings and spouses, brother Jake Conner of Las Angeles, California, sister-in-law Bonnie Conner of Mountain Home, Arkansas and brother Melvin (Punk) Conner and wife, Maxine of Monkey Run, Arkansas, along with many nieces, nephews, family and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan, granddaughter Taellor, father, mother, brother Bill and sister-in-law Bernice.
Graveside services are to be held at Pontiac cemetery on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Gainesville, Mo.
Memorials may be made to Taellor's House, a ministry serving the impoverished women and children in Nicaragua, in care of Project H.O.P.E., 1419 S Enterprise, Springfield, MO 65804.
