BOBBY GENE SMITH
Bobby Gene Smith, 67, Pontiac, MO, passed away Friday, May 8, 2009 at his residence. He was born July 11, 1941 in Shaw, MS to the late Eugene (Bud) and Irene (Pope) Smith.
Bobby married Trinita Theresa Ester Hann on April 22, 1961 in St Louis, MO. He was a retired Arkansas Best Freight Driver in Little Rock, AR working for them for 30 years. He was also a teamsters member for 33 years.
Bobby is survived by his wife Trinita of the home; three sons Greggory Alan Smith and his wife Jackie of Dexter, MO; Raymond Bruce Smith and his wife Michele of Albuquerque, NM; and Michael Duane Smith and his wife Tirza of Pontiac, MO; one daughter Samantha Suzanne Roesch and her husband Patrick of Loami, IL; eight grandchildren Ryan Smith, Casey Smith, Hannah Smith, Jordan Smith, Joshua Barnette, Tyla Barnette, Steven Roesch and Shelby Smith; one great grandchild Gracie Jane Smith and one sister Barbara Spear of Bloomfield, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Irene Smith.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 11, 2009 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Terry Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Price Place Cemetery near Pontiac, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 2-4 PM at the funeral home.
