Bobby Joe Ward, 72 years, 0 months, and 4 days old, passed away November 12, 2015 following a long illness at his home with his family by his side.
Bobby was born November 8, 1943 in Halls, TN to James Walter and Mattie Alice (Fisher) Ward.
Bobby was a retired carpenter. He was a resident of Ava since 2001 moving from Nevada. He had attended the Church of Christ in Halls, Tennessee.
Bobby's hobbies were; watching the Green Bay Packers football team, fishing, hunting and camping with his dogs.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, three children; Troy Brent Ward, Tony Joe Ward, and Timmy Joe Ward, two sisters, Dorothy Ruston and Roberta Underwood, three brothers, Ed, Emmett, and Paul Ward.
Bobby is survived by his son, Bobby Ward, Jr.,state of Illinois, his daughter, Paula Barnes, Springfield, MO, two brothers, Donald (Brenda) Ward, Halls, TN and Franklin (Sue) Ward, Dyersburg, TN, brother-in-law, John Ruston, Ava, nephew & niece, Roger & Jan Ruston, Ava, MO, many other nieces and nephews in Tennessee and dear friend and caregiver, Marie Van Camp and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Visitation for Bobby will be Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with cremation following per his request. Burial of his cremains will be at a later date in Antioch Cemetery in Halls, TN with his family. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or a local Humane Society.
