Bonita Stafford

Bonita Angeline Stafford,   90 years, 5 months, 9 days old, passed away March 13, 2018 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare with her family.

Bonita was born October 4, 1927 in Roy Missouri to Corbett Leman and Myrtle Elva (Kester) Brown.

Bonita was a retired poultry farmer. She and her husband, Harry worked together on the farm for over 30 years.

On August 11, 1946 Bonita and Harry R. Stafford, Sr. were united in marriage in  Ava, MO. They were blessed with three children.

Bonita was a Christian and a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Ava. She served as Chairwoman for the Douglas County Women's Republican Club for several years. She was active in other federal, state, and county political campaigns. Bonita also enjoyed helping other people and most of all being with her family!

Bonita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry Sr., and a son, Harry Stafford Jr. She is survived by her son Tony Stafford and wife, Chia, daughter, Lavona Stafford, two grandchildren, Ty Stafford and Cleopatra Stafford, six great grandchildren,  Kristina, Brenden, Alexandra, Dominic, Isabella, and Bentley, and one great great granddaughter, Melody.

Funeral services for Bonita will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO.  Visitation will be Tuesday, March 20th from 1:00 p.m. until service time in the chapel. Burial will follow in the Ava Cemetery.  Officiating will be Pastor James Hathcock. Memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
