Bonnie Lakey, 78 years, 11 months, 15 days old, passed away on, September 30, 2016 in O'Fallon, MO.
Bonnie was born October 15, 1937 at Girdner, Mo. to Arthur and Bertha (Durham) Call.
Bonnie and Eldo James Lakey were united in marriage in Ava in 1957
and to this union four children were born, twins Dan and Randy, Jeffrey Allen, and daughter Tanya. They moved to St. Louis in the early 70's.
Bonnie was a christian and attended the Mid Rivers Mall Assembly of God in Saint Peters, Missouri when she and EJ were able. When she was younger she and EJ enjoyed bowling, archery, and raising their children, later she enjoyed playing bingo, crossword puzzles, and reading the bible, above all she had a profound love of her savior Jesus Christ.
Bonnie worked for General Motors, in St. Louis for many years before retiring from there.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers Lawrence, Lonnie, and Bill Call, and an infant son, Jeffrey Allen.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Eldo James or EJ, three children and their spouses, Randy and Rosemary Lakey, O'Fallon, MO, Dan and Donna Lakey,Washington, Mo., and Tanya and Steve Robbins, of St.Charles, Mo, grandchildren Mike, Robin,Eric, Jennifer, Amanda, Shannon, and Brady, and great grandchildren Lorraine, Alex, and Eli.
Funeral services for Bonnie will be at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Ava, on Tuesday October, 4 at 10:00 A.M. with visitation on Monday from 6:00 P.M. til 7:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Girdner Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to Girdner Cemetery at the funeral home.
