Bonnie Lucy Sherrill, 91 years, 7 months, and 15 days old, passed to Heaven on May 5, 2016 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO with her family by her side.

Bonnie was born September 21, 1924 in Longrun, MO to Preston and Ulah (Hart) Friend.

On January 9, 1964 Bonnie and Harry Sherrill were united in marriage in Ozark County, MO.

She was a Christian and had attended the Murray Church.
Bonnie enjoyed gardening, flowers, singing and going to church.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Harry" Sherrill in 2010, son-in-law, Fred Searcy, four brothers, Quentin, Earlin, John and Samuel Friend, one sister, Lorene Hooton, and a grandson, Aaron Miller.

Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Doris Searcy, Ava, MO and Avis Miller, and husband, Eddie, Gainesville, MO, two step children, Gordon Sherrill and wife, Carolyn, Wasola, MO, and Wilda Walls and husband, Willy, Roy, WA, three grandchildren, Greg Friend, Paula Cairns, Leslie Yearwood, three step grandchildren, Brian Sherrill, Sandy Stotts and Barry Walls, two great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, one sister, Eunice Green, Springfield, MO, one brother, James Otis Friend, Bolivar, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.


Funeral services for Bonnie will be Monday, May 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial in the Murray Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Junior Hall. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Disabled American Veteran's.
