Boyd Dean Conrad, Ava, MO (Goodhope)
Boyd Dean Conrad, 68 years, passed away on Oct. 19, 2013 at his home in the Goodhope community with his family by his side.
Boyd was born November 14, 1944 in Romance MO to Glennie Conrad and Esther Graham Wilkie.
On December 3, 1972 Boyd and Betsy were united in marriage in Macon, NC and to this union three children were born.
Boyd was a Christian and belonged to the Church of the Living God in Ava. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war. Boyd enjoyed riding his horses, Nascar races, and spending time with his children and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy, one daughter, Donna, and two sons, Greg and wife Ronda and Dustin and wife Cassie, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Bruce and Burl Conrad as well as two sisters, Beverly Hamilton and Betty Smith, and other relatives and friends.
Boyd was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Alan, a daughter, Gayle, and a brother, Billy.
Graveside services for Boyd will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013, 2:00 p.m. in the Harvill Cemetery, Bruner, MO with Pastor Gary Moore officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to any children's charity. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
