Brenda Garrison

Thornfield, Missouri

Brenda Gail Garrison was ushered into heaven on December 2, 2021 at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living lives to the fullest.  She was greeted in heaven by her grandparents, father, and grandson.  She will continue to be cherished here on earth by her family and friends.

Brenda was born February 15, 1960 in Gainesville, MO to Floyd William and Marjorie June (Donley) Graham.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Brenda.  She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen baking up a new holiday food creation that she could share with her grandchildren.  No one enjoyed a good shopping bargain more than Brenda.  You could often find her at a garage sale before work or at a good Black Friday sale.  She faithfully gave her days to her job and it was made sweeter by the special friends who became family to her as they shared many years together over lunch.  Second only to spending time in her thread bare Bible, she cherished time with her grandchildren whether watching their sporting events, baking, traveling, going to the beach, gardening, or just reading books to them.  Brenda's faithful witness will be dearly missed, but will live on through her children and grandchildren because of the legacy she left.

A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Ava, MO with burial following in the Thornfield Cemetery, Thornfield, MO. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Helping Hands, a community based foster assistance program with which Brenda enjoyed helping.
