BRENDA LEANN (LYNCH) HERD
Brenda LeAnn (Lynch) Herd, 50, of Theodosia, MO passed away on February 27, 2011 in West Plains, MO. She was born on September 7, 1960 in St. Joseph, MO the daughter of Donald and Barbara (Key) Lynch.
Brenda's family moved from St. Joseph to Kansas City when she was just one year old. She lived there until moving to Theodosia, MO near Bull Shoals Lake in 2003. Before coming to Ozark County, she had been married to Larry Herd for 23 years. Brenda worked for the Lutie School District as a Para Educator. She enjoyed partying and dancing with her family at the Lake. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary #5366 in Theodosia. Brenda had bravely battled cancer the past nine months. She has now joined her son, Nathan, and other family members in heaven. She was loved and will be missed by all her family and friends.
Brenda is survived by one stepson Darrel Herd; two granddaughters Karissa F. Herd and Ashlynn D. Herd both of Wetmore, KS; two brothers Donald Lynch of Theodosia, MO and Randy Lynch and his wife Brenda of Theodosia, MO; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her son Nathan Allen Castle; her parents Donald and Barbara Lynch; grandparents Floyd Allen Key and Rose (Key) Collins, and Don "Cowboy" Collins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO with Gene West officiating. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
