Brenda Sue Owen, 65 years, 4 days old, passed away on October 3, 2026, at The Woods on French Creek in Avon, Ohio, with her sister, Linda, by her side.

Brenda was born September 30, 1961, in Moline, Illinois, to Adrain and Laverne (Wright) Owen.

Brenda lived in Illinois until she moved with her family to the Ava area where her parents were raised. She has lived in Avon, Ohio, since 2018.

She loved music and enjoyed the company of other people. Some of Brenda’s favorite activities were hitting a beach ball back and forth with the home’s activity personel, and she loved to drink coffee.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Adrain and Laverne Owen and her brother-in-law, Larry Powell.

She is survived by her sister, Linda Kay Powell of Avon, Ohio, and her brother, James Adrain Owen of Ava, Missouri; nieces, Lisa Baracskai and Lori Solak; nephew, Lee Powell; and other extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Brenda will be Monday, October 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri, with burial following in the Goodhope Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM Officiating will be Jeff Corder. Memorials may be made to Missouri Baptist Children’s Home.
