Brent Travis Overstreet, 27 years, 8 months, and 24 days old, passed away on July 21, 2015 at his home in Springfield.
Brent was born October 27, 1987 in Columbia, MO, to Cassandra Cornett. He graduated from Ava High School in 2006 and attended MSU in Springfield, MO.
Brent loved basketball, reading and learning new things. He loved karaoke and music. He was very proud of his "show car", a Pontiac Grand Am.
Brent was a kind and good-hearted man.
Brent is survived by his mother and step-father, Cassandra and Steve Cornett, Grandmother, Bertha Jane Overstreet, Grandmother, Diana Batcheller, Grandfather Leon Caudill, brothers, Jonathan Batcheller and Ruger Cornett, Uncle and Aunt, Shannon and Bridgett Huff, Uncle and Aunt, Sherry and Eric Guerin, Cousins, Cody and Deandra Huff and Sonny and Harley Guerin, and a host of other family and friends
Funeral services for Brent will be Friday, July 24, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. .in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, with burial in the Ava Cemetery . Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Buddy Boyd . Memorials may be made to Neighbor Helping Neighbor or Ronald McDonald House.
