DR. BRUCE DAVID ROSENQUIST
Dr. Bruce David Rosenquist, 77, of Isabella, MO died at Hospice House in Mountain Home, AR on October 29, 2011. He was born on June 19, 1934 to Godfrey Carter Rosenquist and Selma (Reller) Rosenquist in Chicago, IL.
Bruce and Annette (Jagor) Rosenquist were married July 7, 1956 in Chicago, IL. After graduating first in his class from the Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1958, he became a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Service (CDC) in Atlanta, GA and Haddonfield, N.J. During these two years he served as an Epidemic Intelligence Officer.
From 1960-1964 he was in private practice in Morton Grove and Skokie, IL. From 1964-1968 he returned to school at the University of Missouri and obtained as MS and PHD degree in Veterinary Microbiology. From 1973-1992 he was a professor of Microbiology and Virology.
He and Annette retired to Isabella, MO in 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Annette of 55 years; a son Eric of Columbia, MO and a daughter Jill of Mountain Home, AR; two brothers Dr. Russell Rosenquist of Scottsdale, AZ and Dr Robert Rosenquist of Lamoille, NV.
A private service was held October 29, 2011. Interment will be in Lutie Cemetery.
