CARL L. COFFEY

Funeral services for Carl L. Coffey, 90, of Oklahoma City, Okla., will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home with his brother, Amos Coffey, officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Coffey died Jan. 31 in Oklahoma City. He was born July 24, 1923 in Pontiac, the son of Bert and Ollie Mahan Coffey. On May 18, 1941, he married Edna Reynolds in Gainesville. They had one son.

Mr. Coffey worked at Wichita Stamp and Seal in Wichita, Kans. After his retirement, he and his wife moved to Theodosia and became members of First Baptist Church of Gainesville. Survivors include his son, Mike L. Coffey of Bethany, Okla.; one grandson, Christopher Coffey and wife Kasey; granddaughter Julie Coffman and husband Shawn; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Amos Coffey, of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two sisters, Alene Rhodes of Pontiac and Donna Farmer of Mountain Home, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife; brothers Delmer Coffey, Basil Coffey and Don Coffey, and sister Clara Evans. Memorial contributions may be made to Pontiac Cemetery.
